Owen Donohoe

It’s time we turned this bus around.

School spending and achievement are headed in the wrong direction.

Despite adding 5,467 positions and billions in additional spending (26% increase from 2005-2010*) during the past 5 years, school districts in Kansas were unable to demonstrate marked improvements in academic performance, according to the U.S. Dept. of Education. This isn’t helping students, teachers or taxpayers.

I’ve worked hard to present the voters with facts about education spending and accountability in Kansas, so you can make informed decisions. I hope you’ll support my efforts to make sure your

tax dollars are spent effectively. Kansas needs to get serious about reforming its education system to produce more college- and career-ready students and reward effective teachers.
