Small businesses are the backbone of Kansas' 39th District. But high taxes and regulations make it difficult for them to create jobs, purchase equipment and invest in our community. The health of small businesses in Kansas affects all of us. Taxpayers and small businesses need an ally like Rep. Donohoe who helps create growth without reckless spending.

Rep. Donohoe 's solution starts with small business.

Reducing tax rates and regulations on small businesses will improve cashflow and enable owners to create more jobs, purchase equipment and invest in their communities. Small businesses will also benefit from fewer regulations that restrict growth. Rep. Donohoe is working hard to create a friendlier environment for small businesses, so they can generate the jobs and revenue that lift our economy. This is how we can create revenue to support our classrooms and communities.

Rep. Donohoe and Bruce agree that small businesses are the solution to Kansas' economic problems.
How working families and small businesses are at risk:
  • threat of eminent domain - government should not have the right to take private property from one property owner and give it to another. The courts are abusing this.
  • lack of affordable health insurance choices for small employers and workers.
  • some of the highest business machinery and equipment taxes in the nation.
  • high state and local tax rates, which prevent businesses from adding jobs and benefits.
